Rotary Club of Hyderabad Mega City
Service Above Self
Business and professional people in Hyderabad who put their time, skills and networks behind work that changes lives in this city.
Where the work goes
Seven areas, chosen for what we can finish
Rotary organises service around seven areas. We take on projects within them sized to what our members can see through — including the part after the ribbon is cut.
Peacebuilding and conflict prevention
Training in mediation and dialogue, and support for communities affected by conflict.
Disease prevention and treatment
Health camps, screening, immunisation drives and equipment for public hospitals.
Water, sanitation and hygiene
Drinking water in schools, toilet blocks, and the teaching that makes them get used.
Maternal and child health
Antenatal care, nutrition, and neonatal equipment for government facilities.
Basic education and literacy
School infrastructure, digital classrooms, scholarships and adult literacy.
Community economic development
Vocational training, tools for tradespeople, and support for small enterprise.
The Four-Way Test
Of the things we think, say or do.Adopted by Rotary, 1943
Is it the truth? Is it fair to all concerned? Will it build goodwill and better friendships? Will it be beneficial to all concerned?
Twenty-four words, written in 1932 to rescue a failing company, and they have outlasted every management fashion since. Members are asked to apply them in business as much as in service.
